This unusual piece of wearable art features gold mine ore from Gwynfynydd - a working gold mine in Gwynedd, Wales, as well as 22ct gold.

This beautiful piece can be seen in the new Franz Ferdinand video Audacious.

This simple yet striking brooch has golden glamour at it's heart, filtered through Andrew's playful sense of humour. A piece of gold ore from Andrew's collection sits on an unusual piece of two-tone, gold and black mirrored glass. The gold is 22ct gold which has been vacuumed to the glass. The edges of the brooch have been painted in gold, with a very subtle addition of glitter, elevating the elemental ore. Gold on gold on gold! This is a truly unusual and standout piece of Andrew's wearable art.

This piece measures approximately 6 by 7cm at its widest points and is lightweight, weighing 35g.  It can be attached to your chosen garment using a gold coloured safety pin embedded into the back of the brooch.
