CROWNED, 2024

CROWNED is an Indian-inspired Wearable Art piece created by Andrew Logan in 2024.

This piece has the feel of a talisman or charm, and is part of a new Wearable Art collection of Goddess pieces, referencing Andrew's 1984 Goddesses exhibition, and celebrating Alternative Miss World 2026 - GAIA.

CROWNED is the medal you have been waiting to win! This piece has a graceful superiority which demands attention and respect! It will add a touch of class to every outfit.

At the top of the brooch Andrew has placed an unusual piece of Indian textiles, featuring woven gold sequins, a red crystal bead, a peacock feather and a fascinating fringe of peacock feather threads. Below this, Andrew has added pearl beads and a signature mosaic of cracked forest green and jade green glass, crystals and an unusual oversize bead, which shines light in all directions and is concave, reflecting the admirer perfectly. Two beads, jade and pearl dangle from the base of the piece, adding some dynamism.

This unique brooch measures approximately 17 by 7 cm at its widest points and weighs 41 g.  It can be attached to your chosen garment using a gold coloured safety pin embedded in the resin on the reverse.

This Wearable Cosmic Egg has been joyfully created by artist Andrew Logan in his studio in Mid-Wales. This brooch will be packaged in a gift box and sent to you via Special Delivery.
