SHELL AND MIRROR FAN BROOCH - SEA DELIGHT, 2011
Andrew Logan jewellery includes brooch pins, each of which is handcrafted and unique. His unisex brooches can be a statement piece and each brooch bears Andrew Logan’s signature and the date it was created. Andrew Logan designed this dazzling brooch in 2011 and hopes his one-off piece of wearable sculpture brings you joy.
The splendid brooch is formed around a white seashell, sitting beneath a fan of silver and green mirror pieces set into pale resin and encrusted with mainly gold and silver glitter. A row of seven silver, facetted beads run along the top surface of the shell and a teardrop-shaped pearl bead is suspended from the bottom of the brooch. Four small, metallic bells and two white seashells are laid within the resin, attached by a chain. There is a small metal loop at the top of the piece, that would allow the fan to be suspended as a statement necklace, if preferred.
The Sea Delight brooch measures approximately 12 by 9 cm at its widest points and weighs 61 g. There is a safety pin embedded in the cream resin backing the rear of the piece which has been signed in pink by Andrew Logan
