COSMIC CATCH NECKLACE OR WALL HANGING, 2010

Unique wearable art by Andrew Logan includes a collection of bold statement necklaces and contemporary designer necklaces, all handcrafted and signed by Andrew Logan. This bold statement necklace was designed by Andrew Logan in 2010 and is a one-off designer piece of wearable sculpture.

The 'Cosmic Catch' necklace is made of two parts of rusted iron. The main focus is a blue hologram of a cosmic image surrounded by silver mirror fragments, a chunk of green mirror and pieces of Paua shell. There is more Paua shell on the main body of the iron, in addition to a disc of blue mirror and a piece of yellow mirror all set in black resin and embellished with variegated green glitter.

The statement piece has a brass chain with a sphere clasp that is approximately 43 cm long and the pendant measures approximately 22 x 18 cm at the widest parts.  The Cosmic Catch weighs 201 g and also has a safety pin embedded in the reverse to wear as a brooch, or maybe a decorative wall hanging.
