PAN NECKLACE OR BROOCH
Unique wearable art by Andrew Logan includes a collection of bold statement necklaces all handcrafted and signed by Andrew Logan. This spectacular necklace was designed by Andrew Logan in 2021 and is named 'Pan'. Andrew Logan hopes his one-off piece of wearable sculpture brings you joy.
The base of this wondrous necklace is a bronze-coloured metal plaque featuring an image of Pan; from Greek mythology Pan was part man and part goat and the God of wild groves, shepherds, and flocks. Pan's beard, moustache, eyebrows and hair are represented by fragments of bright green mirror glass, laid over resin and embellished with mainly green and gold glitter, with the addition of two green/pink crystals. Two black and white Indian eyes surrounded with white glitter make the eyes a feature and the horns are constructed with ten irregular, white keshi pearls, set into white resin and encrusted with a generous amount of white glitter.
The Pan pendant measures approximately 16 by 21 cm at its widest parts and the entire artwork weighs around 72 g. The length of the wooden bead necklace is around 57 cm and it can be easily detached from the Pan pendant by unclipping the two metal hooks. A safety pin embedded in resin, on the navy blue, leather backing of the reverse side, allows the sculpture to be used as an accessory on a hat, bag, wall-hanging, or as a statement piece of wearable art.
