COLLOGGETT PIPPEN APPLE NECKLACE/BROOCH
Unique wearable art by Andrew Logan includes a collection of bold statement necklaces and contemporary designer necklaces, all handcrafted and signed by Andrew Logan. This unusual necklace was designed by Andrew Logan in 2017 and is a designer piece of wearable sculpture which can also be worn as a jewellery brooch.
The Colloggett Pippen apple is a famous apple grown in the Orchards of Buckland Abbey, a National Trust property in Devon where, in 2017 Andrew staged an exhibition called 'The Art of Reflection'. He was inspired to create this necklace design after giving a glittering apple brooch to each of the National Trust guides.
The Pippen pendant necklace is handcrafted from a patterned piece of glass, set over green resin and embellished with green and red glitter. A sliver of wood creates the stalk and a wire loop at the top allows the neck cord to be attached.
The apple pendant necklace measures approximately 6.5 cm in width and 7 cm in height and weights 25 g with cord attached. The thin brown neck cord is 76cm long but can be knotted again to make the necklace shorter, or un-knotted and removed to allow the Pippen to be worn as a pin brooch, affixed to whatever garment you desire.
